ACPA SCM Outstanding Research Award

Ryan and his colleagues (Drs. Robert Palmer and Adriel Hilton) will be bestowed with the Outstanding Research Award sponsored by the American College Personnel Association’s Standing Committee for Men. The award is given to individuals who have completed journal quality research regarding men’s development. The Palmer, Davis, and Hilton study, “Exploring Challenges that Threaten to Impede the Academic Success of Academically Underprepared African American Males at an HBCU,” selected for this award has been accepted for publication in the Journal of College Student Development. The award ceremony will be in March 2009.
