Dr. Robert T. Palmer (SUNY-Binghamton) and Ryan’s research proposal titled, "The Impact of Family Support for African American Males at a Historically Black University: Affirming the Revision of Tinto’s Theory," was accepted for presentation at the 2008 Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) annual meeting to be held in Jacksonville, Florida in November.

Ryan will be co-presenting a second research paper (with Dr. Palmer) in a roundtable session titled, "The ‘Second Chance’ to College Access: How Summer Bridge Programs Structure College Opportunity for Under-Prepared Students," at the ASHE meeting as well.
